SL2 Version 1.07

There are many emotions that could drive an individual to learn magic. The desire to protect another. To defeat an archenemy. Wishing to gain power. These are all common drives to become anything one aspires to be like.

And then there are those who simply hate. Those who want to get back at someone who wronged them, want to bring someone off their high-horse, to make them look disgraceful. For these types of mages, the school of thought and study often changes, which is where Hexers originate. To be more specific, the magic of 'curses' and 'hexes' originate on Egwyn.

During the dawn of civilization on Egwyn, the Grimalkin were often the subject of prejudice due to their hair color, some going as far as exiling them, thinking they were a bad omen. This left many Grimalkin feeling scorned, and with their natural magic potential, they developed curses, which make those affected suffer some misfortune or poor health. As the world began to grow aware of each other, so too did the nature of the Grimalkin's curses.

Hexers utilize dark energy (because it is not only painful physically, but attacks the mind as well) and these curses, and while they are not the most powerful mage, they are exhausting to deal with. Hexers also call upon the grudge of spirits, amplifying their anger with magic, and letting them harm the living. This often puts them at odds with the Geistritter, who seek to contain the damage spirits deal to everyday life.

Added - A new promoted class for Mage, the Hexer, has been added.
Added - 5 new donation items have been added, some based on suggestions.
  • Portable Smithy Tools - Lets you use forge, weapon customization, and weapon upgrading from anywhere.
  • Furniture Planner - Increases the maximum limit for furniture by 25 each. (To a maximum of 125 additional pieces of furniture.)
  • Small/Big Box of Mirror Shards - Gives you 5 (small) or 12 (big) Mirror Shards on use. (Will not give you duplicates of the same Mirror Shard in a single use, but can give you ones you already have or have unlocked.)
  • Box of Bad Fruit - Gives you 1 of all the respec fruits.

Adjusted - Absolute Death has been changed to only affect physical damage, and the boost in damage is now 5% per Rank. The duration has been increased by 1 as well.
Adjusted - Bodyguard will now only trigger its damage reduction if the damage taken exceeds your current HP.
Adjusted - Drowned Woman's damage reduction skill is now halved if she is installed.
Adjusted - Spark Drive and Thunder Drive can now only trigger once per round.
Adjusted - Power Gradiation's Momentum cost is now 4.
Adjusted - Lantern Bearer's lantern spells and Focused Beam have had their FP costs and FP scaling changed to reflect their power better.
Adjusted - Youkai now cost an additional 1 FP to maintain for every 5 levels they have obtained.
* Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Youkai, etc. would not move towards enemies.
- Fixed a bug where shop stalls without a shopkeeper on them would lose all of their hours upon a reboot.

SL2 Version 1.06

It's been a while since we've had any progression to the story, and Ashe is tired of standing around in the desert, so... I guess now's her time. To shine. Get it? Haha. HAHAHAHAHA.

Added - Ashe seems ready to make her move in Law's End. (Of course, that's assuming you're caught up with the main story; if not, keep playing!)
Added - A new tab has been added to build mode called Furniture Adjustment. With Build Mode open, you can click on any placed furniture and adjust its pixel displacement with this interface.
Added - An NPC has been added to Chaturanga who will talk about Iahsus. (Relatively minor lore info.)
Added - A new type of chest has been added to dungeons. (It was added in the hotfixes days ago, but... here's the official note.)
Added - Saves have been optimized. There should no longer be any significant lag when someone's save is loaded or saved. This, in turn, means everyone gets to enjoy a much less laggy experience. Hooray!
Adjusted - Jammer Epsilon's Poison Bell now inflicts Poison with a LV equal to half of its level (min. 2)
Adjusted - Icon parts in the vanity mirror will now show a base icon below themselves to give a better visual representation of what it looks like on the player character.
* Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where battle bar numbers were blurry.
- Fixed a bug where Youkai and other associates were refusing to move.
- Fixed a bug where the 'damage test' laplaceNET request for Lightning was incorrectly requiring you to get hit by Wind damage.
- Fixed a bug where Rockdirt wasn't dropping from basic ore veins.
- Fixed a bug where when determining the number of qualities for an item, the difficulty of the item material wasn't being taken into account, resulting in too many qualities given.
- Fixed various turn stopping bugs. Hopefully all of them.
- Fixed a bug where Protection from Arrows was giving lower than intended bonuses.
- Fixed a bug where Intensify Cold was sticking around through battles.
- Fixed a bug where Seeker Flames could be summoned into walls.
- Fixed a bug where Heavy Tackle was applying Punching Shots.
- Fixed a bug where the icon for the Mirror Shard - Head Goggles was incorrect.
- Fixed a bug where Flee wouldn't work in the hot bar.

SL2 Version 1.05

Version 1.05 contains a bunch of adjustments with Battle Weight in mind to make it more of a fair but strategic system. It also contains the long awaited ability to upgrade armor stats, a way to access and use homes for people who do not have an on-map house, and other neat stuff. Enjoy!

Added - You can now upgrade the Defense, Magic Defense, and Evade of torso items at blacksmiths. Depending on the armor type, there are different max. values for each;

  • Defense - 3
  • Magic Defense - 5
  • Evade - 8

Light Armor

  • Defense - 5
  • Magic Defense - 7
  • Evade - 4

Heavy Armor

  • Defense - 8
  • Magic Defense - 5
  • Evade - 3

Added - All Asago buildings now have a red portal inside of them. These portals can be used by Asago House Ticket owners to access their house if they do not have a claimed on-map house already. (Note: The portal only works for you and party members.)
Added - 6 new furniture items that can be used to display items.
Added - 2 new 'emotes' have been added. Halo (Ctrl+M) and Zawa (Ctrl+Z; I forgot who made this so please PM me your key!). These can only be used by those that have obtained the Mercala Lover and Gambling Junkie medals respectively.
Added - A new player panel for moderators has been added.
Adjusted - World saving has been improved for player houses. The short version; the way the game saves the data is being optimized. This should lead to faster shutdowns and less lag on the hour change (hopefully).
Adjusted - Monsters will now only gain new skills on levels where the rarity of items they drop increases. All existing monsters that get scaled abilities have been adjusted.
Adjusted - Monster AI has been improved when using long range weapons. Now, ranged enemies will try to always keep themselves at maximum range when attacking you, moving if they're too close, etc. (Aside from Ashe, who is happy to fight at either range.)
Adjusted - The following adjustments have been added for Battle Weight;
  • Weapon talents now reduce the Battle Weight of weapons of the same type by Rank, starting at Rank 4.
  • Packrat now increases your maximum Battle Weight by Rank, starting at Rank 2.
  • Special Armament now reduces the Battle Weight of your sub-weapon by 25% (or 50% at Rank 2).
  • Heavy Bow Mastery reduces the Battle Weight of Bow weapons with a weight of 20 or greater by Rank.
  • Indomitable reduces your total Battle Weight (after flat reductions) by the same percentage it reduces physical damage you take.

Adjusted - Fluency now has 5 Ranks total; at Rank 4, it gains the Battle Weight reduction effect of other weapon talents.
Adjusted - At Rank 5, Fluency now grants 5% Will growth.
Adjusted - At Rank 4, Packrat now grants 5% Strength growth.
Adjusted - At Rank 3, Preparation now grants 5% Defense growth.
Adjusted - At Rank 3, Enchantment now grants 5% Resistance growth.
* Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug where Advancing Flow was teleporting you to the shadow realm if you were too close to an enemy.
- Fixed a bug where Training Day's announcement was saying it still gave 50% EXP.
- Fixed a bug where Akimbo caused normal attacks to not work if you didn't have a second Handgun equipped.
- Fixed a bug where great successes weren't granting the proper number of positive qualities when crafting.
- Fixed a bug where Evasive Strike, Blindness (Oracle ability), and Bow hit penalties were being applied if you diagonal from your target (rather than 1 Range).
- Fixed a bug where Analyze Weakness wouldn't call out Water weaknesses.
- Fixed a bug where Verglas' Ice Point Greaves were not leaving behind Ice Sheets on tiles you walked on.
- Fixed a bug where you were retaining equipped skills, items you couldn't use, etc. on Legend Extend.
- Fixed a bug where selecting 'cancel' when changing your house's sign text could lock up your character.
- Fixed a bug where monsters dying on their own turn caused double turns to occur.
- Fixed a bug where party invites could cause you to be invited to multiple parties, causing silliness.
- Fixed a bug where the Custom Battlefield was showing its area on the wrong floor if used in an Extra Level.
- Fixed a bug where the Custom Battlefield was recreating the battle indicator on the map if battle was begun in its area.
- Fixed a bug where being kicked from a home didn't reset your map limitations properly.

SL2 Version 1.04

Battle Weight does make sense. rather than, your armor just weighs down your ability to fight. I'm looking forward to testing it out and seeing how it runs in battle. :3
