Mercalan Smog

Mercalan Mist seems to have a minimum of rank*10 HP Regen, similar to its evade value at rank 5 it restores 50HP Per turn.

Yeah, what Megablues said, Setting Sun can get up to 125% bonus damage on it.

What if it operated like setting sun? This. One-round cooldown so it can't be spammed, naturally goes off after two rounds of being cast originally, can be manually triggered. I think this solves it, imo. I think unlike setting sun, if you were to do this you can justify explosion's recast refundin...

Critters will retaliate pierce damage on mutated fist weaponry.

to reproduce:

Mutate a fist into anything else
Attack a critter
Feet somehow hurt.

What megablues said is true, Explosion is at its strongest when it is used by mages who deliberately build slower than you, which is kind of unfair in the long run of things. I honestly think that the most simple solution is giving Explosion a 1 round cooldown - I'm not leaning too much on the idea ...

I think explosion could make do with diminishing damage at much higher ranges, with a 1 round cooldown to prevent double tap, as it scales super high.

As for cinder abuse strats I just think cinders are too high leveled atm.

This could be solved if Ghost's Claret Call was 15/20 instead of 10. Try a Balance-Fu, Ghosts are slightly weaker and can warrant some minor changes to give them an extra buff and double as a fix to those problems. I think majority or at least half wil scaling is a better option in that regard, as it'll actually cause people to care about the WIL scaling instead of brushing it off and leaving it at 20-30. As long as their scaled weapon attack is on par with stuff like bows, swords and fists, I think that sounds more than fine.
