The way everything interacts wouldn't work with the suggested change, anyway. Lightning criticals are determined before the damage is applied, while evasion is applied when you take damage.

There's a chance to change it, I'm not entirely against it, but I'm not sure if it's something that should be changed. Most of the new skills aren't intended to gel with all playstyles and builds and this type of exclusivity might actually be preferable. But you guys can feel free to discuss pros an...

It might be better to decrease the LV gained on player character enemies but keep it relatively the same for monsters.

I don't think it's really necessary even if it's on the lower end of usefulness. Most of the status effects that behave this way require setup or are just a function of how the class operates, like Verglas.
