I'm messing with some new lighting stuff on the side, so the meticulous area-based lighting might get outdated at some point anyway in favor of light sources. But I'll update the mapping environment with that change if I can get it to work the way I want it to.
I don't think badge users are cool enough to warrant it, but I'll look into making the visual effect a little less blaring. Part of it was that some things were getting the aura that shouldn't have (status effects, turn arrows, and so on).

I seem to recall the OOC chats differently, but honestly, it doesn't matter who said what or who was right. Pointless information like that doesn't have any bearing on balance changes and does just make it look like a salt thread.

Dynamic resources like icons contribute to savefile bloat, so I don't think that is likely to be a thing any time soon. It's possible that you might be able to change the appearance to another weapon of the same type that exists in the game already. Custom descriptions are also possible but somethin...

I'm pretty sure that the bonus damage not getting increased by CM was an intentional change made to balance out the skill a little more a while back.
