I absolutely hate saying it, because I know you buffed Kadouha to a state that makes it impressively strong when not too long ago I was the one who put up the thread, but Kadouha's current numbers are batshit crazy right now, sporting 140/140 Scaling with a damage mod on top of it, which can be spammed under the effect of ki awoken.

Simply put it needs very very slight tuning, I want it to stay strong but its sporting more damage than invocations ever could hope mustering right now, and its not even magic that you can stop from ever being a thing, here is what I think should be a thing:

The biggest abuse case of Kadouha (As in I've seen at least 15-20 builds switch to this) currently is the allowance of being able to spam it under the effect of Ki Awoken, Ki Awoken simply doesn't impose enough of a penalty to make it seem like you're straining yourself in order to deal far far more damage than anyone could ever dream of, its even coined the term "Kadouha Turret" among the community when you're making a build exactly like this.

The effct for Kadouha not consuming ki while under the effect of Ki Awoken should simply put be removed, the bonus while doing this is way too strong, especially when just activating Ki Awoken already gives you like 12 Elemental Attack for the skill itself, unmitigated if you're using luminary element, while generating ki at the same time. Ki Awoken already hits really hard and I'd really like that to stay myself, but being able to throw them off multiple times without needing to power back up s too much currently.

Yeah. I agree with removing the Ki Awoken part.

The scaling is already good enough, and it was pretty much what it needed to be good. Ki Awoken only made it busted. Not exactly a nerf, just a removal of some needless addition.

Yeah I agree, it should consume ki normally, its not even like you need to wait that long for ki to build back up anyway but it would stop the double tap spam


Side note, while I like its damage now, could it please get elemental impact to change its damage type?

So if you remove the Ki awoken part then you reduce the fact people are actually using this technique with Ki awaoken proves th buff is not really good enough to use it since it requires an off stat setup to use unless all the other Skills. Besides if you want to talk about powerful stuff why not bring up DH with Lead storm and a Corbie. (Not saying Corbie doesn't not work with literally everything but summoners or a class tat does not use Scaled Weapon attack) But this would be asking if Battle Rush and Aerial Attack effects multi shoot guns the way it suppose to or it just adds full power. How about we talk about stuff like I dunno the Whulf Set Shooting Star now being potentially useless to a Ki awoken kadoha monk with Latern Bearer or Priest, *Cough cough* Graph, the curate base heal. If we want to name a race that could spam Kadoha and not worry for a good while, Elf M/C.

Or make Ki Awoken effect more skills with interesting effects, perhaps if this is not possible Ki awoken is too easy to use, perhaps up drain to 15 or 20 percent per round?

TL/DR Version., Ki Awoken Kadoha is prefect where it is and should not have the effect removed because there are other just as strong if not OP abilities/Ckasses.

I don't see how this other build you brought up is related to the thread itself, if you're going to create something constructive about the post please stay on topic. Anyways changing Ki Awoken would simply make the skill too weak for an interaction thats just overtuned very slightly, and I can totally see why, Kadouha before all of this was considered very weak, and I wanted to see it be put into a stronger place, but it simply got overbuffed, the large amounts of damage it can deal is quite fine if you're not actually spamming it, and you have to manage a secondary resource (Ki) to be able to effectively pump it out.

Ki Awoken provides a large impact to the fight currently, a large burst of damage, knockdown, AoE, Light Damage which isn't very commonly resisted, its just simply too much when it can be used 2 times a turn for about 2-4 rounds in a row.

As a Kadouha user, i say do it. Makes for more timed situations for when you want to burn that Ki for the big blast. You gen 10 ki per turn with Ki awoke anyway. There's tons of other choices you can do in a situation beyond just be a turret for Kadouha.

Using the big bad kadouha at 30ki should be a tactical decision rather than a no-brainer when it keeps you at 30ki. Agreed, I've seen too many people using triple 30ki tap kadouha too many times.

As one of the people who tried to get Kadouha buffed for a long time, I almost feel dirty posting on a balance thread for it. But, I'm all for removing the Ki awoken ki cost negation. As it stands right now, the skill is simply overbearing. Strong isn't even the word for it. On top of that, it has no real counter, other than a spirit mirror, which lasts one attack, or the 50% light retaliation crystal mirror. Right now, it's simply way too overbearing.

It's also fairly easy to set up for while stacking high DR, and Luminary Element + Ki Awoken Kadouha may as well be the biggest meta right now. Though Luminary Element isn't the issue, it's what people in the thread have been bringing up so far - the ki cost negation. You can currently fire 350-400 damage Kadouhas like a turret, while applying AOE knockdown. This isn't only a "braindead" strategy in PVP, but also in PVE as of this moment.

It -might- be a bit bothersome to hear considering how much people wanted Kadouha buffed, but to be honest, it's really only the part where Ki Awoken negates the ki cost. If not removed, I'd say to at least make it cost half ki when it's on!
