When changing face icon states, it seems to hide the status effects of all party members besides you, and disable the status expiration animation.

Does anyone else experience this issue?

Yes. I've been experiencing this too.

*raises hand* As someone who relies heavily on status (Wyvern-self poison, install, Sanctuary, etc) this is driving me bonkers.

This should be corrected.
