Metalaegis's protect seems to be broken. It will not protect anyone from anything, basics and specials alike.

Theory: It's a shield skill. It may not count as having a shield right now.

I assume protect works fine for players?

It's a little iffy sometimes but I imagine I just don't meet the requirements sometimes for some skills, but yes it generally works fine against anything that isn't a monster skill, like immolate.

Added some debug messages to this, test again in 1.69b.
