Can we reduce Gold Bars to 5 Weight, or something in that range?
Please. That money isn't much to a level 60, and anyone who's much lower who'd really benefit from the bars can't really carry them.
It's quite easy to grab far more Gold Bars than you can handle and make off to a Pawn Shop without much wait. Or get a party member to hold them while you speed off at full throttle.

I don't really think their weight needs to be lowered.
The first is a good way to let a dungeon despawn on you, and the second will be changed when Dev modifies the way party encumbrance works. Nether are very fun for gameplay or good solutions.
If you're not intent on making it innately solo-friendly (considering most characters probably can't carry out more than a few gold bars at a time), I would suggest a 2-or-3-Rank Talent that reduces weight of Gold Bars by SR*2 (or 1.5, rounded up to the nearest whole number for added incentive at SR3 if it becomes a 3-Rank Talent, alternatively).
Thing is, a dungeon exploration can HALT at the find of one chest. It instantly gibs your movement due to over-encumbered. Added to the fact that low level people won't have enough STR to carry (aside Mechanations, and even though Mechanations with STR can't carry more than one box and a half.)
The whole idea is that they're heavy and sell for a good chunk of change. The fact that it isn't 'much' to a level 60 doesn't really matter. Making them lighter doesn't make much sense, because the weight is intended to be an inconvenience.
The weight means that by the time a player has the encumbrance to carry gold while also managing their equipment, battle items, and the rest, the murai is no longer worth the inconvenience.
Maybe a murai increase is in order, they only sell for 100 a pop to Zeo.

Or perhaps maybe some 'lucrative' housing furniture only obtainable/craftable with gold bars.
Gold could be very well used to craft those statues we see in Castle dungeons, remember?
