Re: On-hit status levels - Autumn - 08-08-2016 its a weapon that already is built with high critical chance, Abberation spear is in a very fine spot, always has been. If you're looking for a PvE weapon, abberation spear is not your 'PvE' tool. This is my last post on the subject, I've said what I needed to say. Re: On-hit status levels - KhalidtheGrey - 08-08-2016 I'm not going to get into how incredibly small the options for weapons are when you want anything specific, god forbid thematic. Re: On-hit status levels - Rendar - 08-08-2016 Back home now, came to a shit show so let's be real. 30 damage over 2-3 turns is incredibly useful in PVP. It stops Ghosts from Last-Chancing your ass and surviving if you're slower (assuming the lightning smacks them to get them into that range). The poison also can afflict and synergize well with Hexer if you can't afflict someone, giving more DoT effectiveness to it. It's also a 7 star, meaning it can mutate into a bow (which is a lot better in the upcoming update). Not to mention that it synergizes well with evokers, or really anyone, who wants to zap a bitch and stab em at the same time. A lot of weapons don't have 'PVE' potential. Here are some other 7* weapons. The Entire Magical Series Vampire Bat Magnifying Glass Konosekai Mugendai Whulf Yin/Yang Deadly Smile Yukijin andd the Rose Whip Most, if not all of these 10 stars are GOD AWFUL at PvE. The Mugendai and magical series being the exception due to great scaling and weapon effects. Re: On-hit status levels - Exxy - 08-08-2016 I'm surprised no one mentioned how Abberation Spear also gets great sync with Bloody Palms (due to Physical and Magic Damage types both being present in -one- hit with the weapon). There is no need to buff it any further than it already is; but I fall into the same boat with Rendar on Gae Bead. Maybe another idea than just giving it a -2% Max HP debuff on-hit, though. Re: On-hit status levels - KhalidtheGrey - 08-08-2016 Well it's the cursed wounds spear, what do you propose we do with it? It's supposed to be an option (one of few) for dealing with heal tanking and PR Hi pot chugging. And... probably the only one you don't have to pick a specific class for. On a side note, Yukijin and Vampire Bat are perfectly fine for PvE in my experience. |
