If you have a Quickness copy, and you steal from a different target with Quickness, you can steal that Quickness even though you already have one. Or in instances where you already have that spell equipped in a non-Copy form. That much isn't a bug, which I thought was the issue being reported.
I am guilty of skimming posts sometimes.
