It's supposed to be guns in general. Not everyone is going to resort to Akimbo, especially if there's more reason to make it not the meta when it comes to gun users. Sure it's a nice way to boost the output from multihit guns, but if people want to single wield and use another weapon, or glove item, then that substantial damage output isn't going to be all that great since you're not getting those extra few shots from your other gun. That's my only problem with it. Maybe if guns all got boosted, using Akimbo could have a form of drawback to balance it out in the end result. This also kind of raises the point that to be decent with guns in general, you're forced to take certain builds in order to do so. But the main problem is how Handguns are favored over all other guns, so perhaps that should be the thing to tackle, first. Buff the other guns in some way, or nerf handguns (which is a stupid suggestion and only makes guns in general absolute shit). Sure a meta is always going to be formed in one way or another, but it shouldn't be in a nutshell, "do this kind of thing with the character that destroys a creative ideal or be a worthless weakling in combat because of your combat weapon type choices". It's capped at an 8 max without a tactician anyway. |
