Ahhem. On Brynn, I regularly do 300+ damage with a tome basic attack crit.
Just going to put that out there.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - Ryu-Kazuki - 11-16-2014

I wasn't being serious, just throwing that little bit of an argument back in people's faces. It still doesn't make up for the fact Zeran's racial suck and makes them an undesirable race anyway.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - LadyLightning - 11-16-2014

I've never disliked Zerans OOCly. I've played a character that escaped from
a Zeran slavemaster, and thus, was afraid of / hated Zerans ICly, but that's
simply another aspect of IC racism.

Brynn loves Zerans. Especially Zeran magicians. She thinks they're totally
and completely delicious, if remarkably hard to convince to sell or trade her
some blood.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - Maikito - 11-17-2014

Sly's idea sounds fine to me to an extent. Zeran's really lack in a racial ability that's usefulness grows with them as they level. While vampires get Silvermists, which has their own dependent variable stat (VIT). Lunar Lunatism also possesses this.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - Lolzytripd - 11-17-2014

The thing is Growth wise, stat wise, zerans= vampires, Vampires however get all these cool racials that do lots of neet things now, lifedrain, ect, and even counter their own holy weakness now.

Zerans get a useless fp mechanic, as seeing enemy fp was never removed after beta.

I like sly's suggestion, except as much as I would enjoy a hesitation mechanic on a zeran like that, it might be too strong, 20% at 60

I'd prefer a mechanic to seeing elemental resistance/will/res/equipped spells/ as the horns are a sensory organ, not a tool mass zeran imposing.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - LadyLightning - 11-17-2014

Yes to elemental resistance, an emphatic 'FUCK NO' to equipped spells.

This was changed like 2 months ago. Can you try being less wrong?

The Crown of Heaven isn't an organ, it's a set of horns, which is more like bone or cartilage.. Even then, what good is your suggestion going to do for non-Mage Zerans? Which is part of the point I was throwing around earlier due to the fact that I'm trying to make it more suitable for all around combat and not just Mages. Even FP regen is good for everyone, but I doubt anyone can top Sly's suggestion.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - Lolzytripd - 11-17-2014

knowing what the enemy has spell wise gives ALL zerans a tactical edge, also believe it or not....mages don't have all the elemental stuff in the game you know

also sorry soap didn't notice that

but 5% difference in skill and will and 10% to luck from the changes aint much....

also still same base stats.

Re: [Zerans] Bad reception - Maikito - 11-17-2014

Saying Zeran's horns allow you to know what equipped spells your enemy has is like saying by having a radio antenna attached to your head, you know what I had for breakfast this morning. They sense focus, nothing else. Though, the elemental resistance idea -could- work, I guess.
