chaos your perception of time ingame seems to be wrong. that isn't recent

each month ooc is a bit longer than an IC year.
the game has been active for 38 ic years
saw rocks abomination even was 11 ic years ago as an example

black beast attacks occur twice weekly not.

Panic inducing as a spatial is more akin to a guy wearing a T/rex raptor suit to spook people around a corner, as soon as he was getting attacked he was admitting to a prank, not fighting back, he took the mask off immediately after fleeing combat (don't even get started on how he' dc'd mid combat and the other party beat him up ). You said to punish him with execution for any major crime and considering its been like what .. 7 Ic years since you've warned him march, the guards should actually be more lenient with him since he's obviously not as bad since then.

Airide doesn't even actively use skype anymore. you should have messaged him about this on discord

1 IC year is 42 OOC days.

(Ignoring the fact that historical moments usually have more room to be "recent".)

If the t-rex raptor was still alive to this day and killed people, sure.

And just because it's been that long since he was warned doesn't mean he didn't commit crimes or get in the way of the guards.

That message was from March. Now, I don't know when everybody switched to Discord since I was in Boot Camp from Jan 11th to August 19th.

I don't really think this topic should go on any longer. This is just grasping at straws.

Another thing to note is that while Krono has a criminal record, he doesn't just laze about all day, He always fights his best whenever black beasts or other menaces attack cities. He is one of those helpful adventerous types that assault bdps and prevent them from preying on travellers.

Villainous criminals that deserve executions don't do helpful things for the betterment of society like this, they instead prey on traveling characters/caravans and the weak.

Time is a game mechanic and shouldn't really be dragged into this considering I've said several times it's okay to outright ignore the passage of it and trying to play it straight can be confusing for everyone involved.

Re: Player Agency: In Airides defense. - Lolzytripd - 11-21-2016

alright Dev thats noted, but shouldn't the good things done and improvement krono has been making count for something here?

Re: Player Agency: In Airides defense. - Rendar - 11-21-2016

As an FYI: Most people play it semi-straight.

It's only weird whenever people who had a kid in say... 310, 2 in game years later, their 2 year old child is a fully functioning teenager at the ripe old age of 16. Despite literally everything else.

Neither here, nor there.

I honestly share the same mentality at this point; literally any kind of counterpoint or statement I tried to make was ultimately ignored and thrown out the window. It would be nice if people stopped trying to just get their 'piece' out and actually read over previous posts.

It's the same every single time something like this comes up. Hence why my first point in my first post (minus disclaimer) was that 7 second Youtube clip. Because that's the extent of the attention span I've come to expect when people get like this. It's like when Overwatch hackers got banned, or more recently, Sun and Moon pirates. Someone breaks the rules, consequences happen, butthurt explodes out of every orifice and not just butts, and people demand changes in their benefit. So juvenile. No sympathy.

EDIT: I'd also like to say, respect to the people who follow the rules in the unban request forum and learn from their mistakes. Shame more people can't. And this is about an IC offense, not even a ban.

Re: Player Agency: In Airides defense. - Lolzytripd - 11-22-2016

Because every statement you make is an attack. You call us butthurt because it makes you look correct.

Yes we are dissatisfied, We'd be butthurt if this was a competitive Pvp game like league of legends and we were being sore losers, but this is a roleplaying game and we are just dissatisfied with the current system.

I'm not even upset that Airide is getting punished for IC stuff, I'm upest about how the system works.

and I'm not willing to accept because dev hasn't developed beyond a simple black and white system of the empire.

The current system
I did a thing outside that people got loud over > go to jail> get out of jail, I get involved in something I've been to jail I get more blame I go back to jail> repeat> I get executed

Theres no branching paths in this system, no alternative historically accurate punishments at all.

Example punishment system
Low tier
Tied to the stocks in the middle of town for x days for public embarassment and punishment, tomatos and eggs provided to be thrown.
Fines
Branded by iron as a criminal, increasing taxes in stores.

Mid tier
Torture, Left on a bed of coals, made to sit on a bed of nails ect until repented for your crimes earnestly.
Disfigurement, the loss of a hand or eye or tongue relating to your crime.
Prison time

High Tier
Prison time with forced labor
Prison time with daily torture sessions
Banishment from civilization (coming back gets immediately the next highest tier of punishment)
Any combination of lower tier punishments

End tier
Execution ( for useless criminals)
Prisoner Legion of the army ( these would be used as disposable troops in the army of the empire) ( for useful violent criminals)
Life in Prison-forced labor ( for non violent useful criminals)

1) And yet this ONLY ever comes up when someone is in trouble. I wonder why? If everyone was really so passionate about it, it would come up when things aren't like this. I mean, it doesn't paint a pretty picture.

2) It's Dev's setting. If you want to argue historically accurate, you do realize our world doesn't actually have magic, right? If you disagree so strongly, why not RP in other places than in the Empire?
