If anything, just for the sake of pve interest, a default merc type for each kingdom, something to roleplay doing, training the military/tribe/sailors/ect
In a similar vein I would like some sort of custom merc (custom sprite, single face icon for turn order/skills) as a patrion item. limited to 1-3, Pick the race, singular class, give them gear, and they scale stat wise like arena combatants.
Also at some point 'merc pvp' as an option so that people can better roleplay as a minor villain, being able to atleast bring their ragtag group of mercs into the inevitable 1v4 they get dragged into by the heroes.
