Mutation enchant expansion - Lolzytripd - 04-09-2023
I've made this before but I wish to suggest it again, if only for the chance it be considered.
In regards to weapons of the same rarity designation as what a mutation seed would mutate into I suggest that odd numbers gain +1 and even -1
This is what it would result in
A 1 star dagger would become a fist
A 2 star fist would become a dagger
A 3 star sword would become an axe
A 4 star axe would become a sword
A 5 star spear would become a tome
A 6 star tome would become a spear
A 7 star bow would become a gun
A 8 star gun would become a bow
This would add more niche uses across the board to a number of weapons

Should be stated what exactly this affects going forward.
Weapons this effects:
Dagger -> Becomes Fist weapon
Boxing Glove, Crashing Cymbals, Knuckleduster -> Become Daggers
Bloody Fang, Eresh, Fuuma, Moonblade, Nelten -> Become Axes
Graality, Spirit Axe -> Become Swords
Bamboo-bo, Cerron Scepter, Monk Priest's Staff, Pilfer Spear, Tuning Fork -> Become Tomes
Ampgeneoule, Blackmeteor, Chorusafhybyn, Devil's Tome (Scary if true), Excel Graph, Flamnyaghra, Fullurricane, Hymntaturych, Wellwegwet, Zerorewuin -> Become Spears
Fortune's Favor, Magical Meteor -> Become Guns
Blaster Trumpet, Tarnell -> Become bows

what I'm personally interested in is Fuuma as an axe, Excelgraph as a spear, fortune's favor as a gun, and blaster trumpet as a bow.

Devil's Tome as a spear? That sounds extremely cool.
I don't really see any issue with this, mutation is a cool enchant and adds a lot to build variety so having more is never a bad thing.

I think it's worth noting that, while this is not the case for all weapons that mutate into their own weapon type, many weapons are that star level specifically because being able to mutate them into anything else would be incredibly powerful.

I'd love this. And I really don't think devil's tome being swapped to a spear matters at all.
All the spear skills still wont' be doing hellfire damage.
And you could already just demon hunter hellfire tome for that kind of effect anyway, with a better enchantment.
