Gunther (Priest of Eternity) - Consecrate Ground - Skullcatrons - 03-21-2024 Information of spell: Consecrate Ground - RITUAL SPELL "Orimal Lialeral" Verbal, Somatic, Material required Material: Natural Diamond* (The size of the diamond affects how big the seal will be.) A page blessed by the Light (Mercalan page to be template of the seal.), the Feather of the Dove (to write the seal on the page). Invocation: "Divine Eternity, descend upon this Realm." "Bless upon the tarnished soil under us." "And forge a sanctuary to repel the Dark!" The seal is forged upon the ground after the invocation is done. The gem will be consumed by the Light, and empowers the Seal, infused with the Invoker's focus. This seal grows in tile depending on the size of the diamond. (Minimum size is 5 tiles radius centered on the seal), it has no effect on the Homunculus, vampires, undeads. While the Living will feel a bit lighthearted while standing in the radius of the seal. The true purpose of the spell is to prevent the unnecessary molestation of the corpses. Any attempt to imbue corpses with Dark energy while the seal is active will be repelled instead, and will not work. The seal had to be broken before the corpses could be used for animation. The Seal lasts for a full week the moment it is activated, consuming the amount of focus it is charged with by the Invoker. While it is a bit draining, it is not as draining as using a simple healing spell. The Seal can be destroyed by simply using any magic spells. Offering no true resistance, therefore the seal has to be guarded in various means to keep a location secured. The seal cannot be moved once activated, locked to a location. *Natural Diamond means diamond mined straight from the earth. Cannot be man-made, or infused, or shaped bigger in any way. ---------------- Applicable BYOND Key - SaltyHyatt (Alt key of Skullcatrons) Character Name - Gunther Request Type - Spell Creation Request Details - As above. Specific Request - Basically more RP spells for priests of Aeternalis Flamma. Reason why you are making this request (if applicable) - Telegrad is under lot of flak with undead shambling about. Whatsnot with frequency of necromancers, and so goes on. Gunther is the Undertaker of the Federation's graveyard, and it is in his best interest that these necromancers do not raise any corpses that's under his discretion. In other words, he's trying to prevent a mess that would occur in HIS work. Roleplay & Lore supporting your request - It's no secret that Gunther is constantly studying, and versed in the Magic Language. He studies on this subject an awful a lot. His duties being in the servant of the Eternity have led him down the road to try to slow down as much undeath's influence slowly creeping their way into Telegrad. Originally he used the Religion's secret technique which was to ward off existing undead albeit not extremely flawless. But the issue was that preventing necromancy in first place. So after studying, and ensuring. He wanted to see if it is possible to prevent the dark energy from infesting, and potentially animating corpses in the grave by simply infusing the ground with holy energy. RE: Gunther (Priest of Eternity) - Consecrate Ground - Maya - 03-21-2024 I love the idea of more spells being added, and the fact that you thought out an incantation and a decent limitation of its time frame and possible removal makes it feel like it’s a real spell! I think the game needs more stuff like this, just be mindful of players or eventmins who do end up wanting to remove it. Communication is key and I hope you build a narrative with its use that’s enjoyable for those involved! This gets the big ol slap of approval. |
