Idea for Ghost's "Evade Buff". - Snake - 08-16-2024

Make it a passive that interacts with Fear. If the enemy is feared by you, you gain +15 Evade against them.

What if red rain was turned into some sort of hit debuff and evade buff for those standing in it, I think that'd be cool

Duck Imbue

Max Rank: 5
Evade Bonus: +5/10/15/20/25

Duck Skill. Causes your duck to extend with a dark beak similar to that of a goose. Increasing your Evade and dealing Duck magic damage (Based on your Duck ATK) when you evade an attack (Does not apply to gun attacks)

I feel like the last thing we need is even more ghost/bk synergy... Ghost isn't even good at applying fear

Here's my suggestion

1: You have +5 evade versus people affected by claret call.
2: New skill: Ethereal. Become partially ghost-like for 4 turns, gaining +15 evade. During this time you can walk through creatures and field objects. The duration is extended by 1 if you end your turn inside red rain, or when you sacrifice health to use a skill (only once per turn). The buff grants an extra +2 evade per level of rising game.

I have a number of gripes about how Ghost should probably function in the modern day SL2 but generally if Rising Game isn't going to become a substat buff, Ghost could use an actual evade buff somewhere I suppose.

I like the idea in it's primary concept, but I don't think you could implement that without it being pre GR2 levels of bullshit right in today's meta, or just being toned down to the point that it's somewhat non influential and thus not really that much better than those same bonus stats

I do think more of the class' skills should interact with Rising Game as a whole. Ghost -is- meant to be a sort of Berserker class, and a good part of it's current kit that should otherwise play into it's identity (see : the martial skills. all of them.) just isn't ever worth touching most of the time. Seriously.

I don't know, something like Sanguine Star being 3M at Rising Game LV 2 or more, Cut Down increasing it's status duration/effect depending of Rising Game LV- there's a fair lot to be done here

I might even argue that the buff happens in Duellist itself, since the other promos are lacking as well, but I also alright with the promos all getting their own thing.
