While I'm not sure this is a bug, It doesn't feel like an intended feature.
Thunderbolt's actual AOE is way larger than what's displayed.

The annorum version does feel like a tile or two short on the edges. I wonder if it's actually circle shaped and just too big, or secretly diamond shaped? I know cyclone spear is odd in that the pull is diamond shaped. I'm not sure if that's intended either.

I'm assuming you mean the field object. If you are, that uses a different target pattern and size (it's a 4 Size Circle).
