Can Riposte counter ranged attacks that are made in melee. That'd be great.

As long as multi-shot guns only proc it on the first round, I have nothing against this.

This already happens for ranged enemy attacks in PVE.

The Spectre's attack thing is actually considered a melee attack that has range. Just like you can riposte a huge-blade from 2 squares away.

What about Couloir? Does that function in the same way?

It's still a basic attack, made with a melee weapon. Hanging, using a gun, won't trigger Riposte. Hanging with a Javelin won't either.
