[MA] Light Tomahawk - Rendar - 12-11-2014 Okay so, this skill is kinda awful currently. So, as it stands this skill does WPN PWR + STR + X ( Where X is 10/13/16/19/22-Torso Weight ) for 10/12/14/16/18 FP. This is kind of ludicrous. The damage is paltry and unless you've got a healthy bit of FP, you aren't going to use it at max rank for almost double the cost and 12 extra damage. I suggest that it be changed to something more like.. this. WPN PWR + (40%/50%/60%/70%/80%) STR+ X ( Where X is [MAX BW- CUR BW + 2/4/6/8/10] ) at 8/9/10/11/12 FP cost. Meaning that while it scales properly, it won't absolutely murder your FP reserves to use it. Discuss. Re: [MA] Light Tomahawk - Slydria - 12-11-2014 Because BW is tied to STR, this effectively gives Light Tomahawk up to 180% STR scaling. For an Autohit that only costs 12 FP, I think that's too much. e.g. Rank 5 Light Tomahawk 20 Power Fist Weapon 50 STR BW 5/55 (50 STR + Rank 5 Packrat with a 5 Weight Weapon and 0 Weight Torso.) (Fist Weapons are fairly lightweight and the BW reduction from Fist Expertise, etc.) Damage: WPN Power + STR * 0.8 + (Max BW - Current BW) + Rank Bonus 20 + 40 + 50 + 10 120 Physical Damage. Re: [MA] Light Tomahawk - Rendar - 12-11-2014 Hrm. Maybe make it tied to CEL then? WPN PWR+CEL*0.8+(MAX BW-CURRENT BW) without a rank bonus? Re: [MA] Light Tomahawk - MegaBlues - 12-11-2014 Nah, let's not have a trend of defensive stats also being able to deal damage. Re: [MA] Light Tomahawk - Ranylyn - 12-12-2014 I agree that as it stands, Light Tomahawk isn't anything special. However, tying it to BW also isn't a good idea, because as stated, that can get utterly ridiculous. I propose simply lowering the FP cost ever so slightly. Using your 8-12 suggestion over the current 10-18 is a good idea. |
