Simple and straight to the point, using Aid on yourself doesn't work, the tile is red when you target yourself, therefor you cannot use it.
You can still use it on allies.

This was fixed and will be in 1.74c.
If you have more Monk bugs to report please check the big topic in this forum for them and make sure they haven't been reported yet.
