It would be pretty awesome if we could italicize certain words by wrapping them with (insert symbol of choice here).
This would be for whisper/say/shout/emote/lemote/pet say/pet emote, and for wemote it would un-italicize for the same effect.
I imagine there will be some that don't see much of a point in this, but emphasizing specific words is great for defining a character's speech patterns, makes it more clear what's really being said, etc.

It'd make says look nicer, since it'd mean you wouldn't have everyone alternating between using /words/ *boxed* -like- .this. to show emphasis.
So I definitely support this if it's at all possible.

I agree. It's becoming less and less acceptable to emphasise words via caps since the internet whips itself into a frenzy about caps being clickbaity or some shit, I don't even know.
