It would be really, really, really great if house ownership could somehow be transferred to other people.

What do you mean by 'house ownership'? There's like three different things that could be off the top of my head.

Transfering house ownership & the house ticket all at once.
Example:
Person A's key is PersonA
Person B's key is PersonB
Person A trades house ownership to Person B.
Person B now has the house that was on Person A's account. Still mapped as it was.
The map for PersonA's house is saved under PersonA.house.sav (or whatever). Upon transfer, it gets name changed to PersonB.house.sav
