On the ropes seems to count the player as a dense object, meaning if I took a knife to someone's back while equipped with On the Ropes I'd deal 15% more damage, regardless if there is anyone or anything around them or not, because I count as a dense object behind the target.

Technically this is working exactly as it's described. Whether or not it should work this way is a Balance Fu topic, I feel.
