Personally, the results of the thread this thread is a parody of make me feel a bit depressed. While it's understandable for the lore to be set in stone, there's also something to say for lore that is constructed in a such a way for players to be able to easily make a mark and have fun playing with.

I don't quite understand what you mean by your question- I am trying to say what I said. I stated my emotions there (depressed), stated why I'm depressed (lore being set in stone that is deconstructive to roleplay), targeting a specific incident for an example (what this thread is about is when the Emperor died but just came back without me being able to influence said decision), and then me stating my opinion on what I prefer (having lore that lets players more easily change the world and influence it).
