Different Forum Colour Scheme - MakeshiftWalrus - 11-13-2014

As stated in the headline I'd like to suggest we change the rather silly current white/blue colour scheme back to one similar to the old one we had, or at the very least something less bright.

Yes please. Very much this! I don't feel like this bright poppy blue represents Sigrogana very well.

Quote:HISSSS! THE LIGHT! IT BURNNNSSS!
^Basically everyone on the forums currently.

But nonetheless I do agree, it is too bright for me since I'm use to the darker colors. I'd be satisfied if we just had a second forum skin option that was less bright and we could choose which we'd like to use.

Re: Different Forum Colour Scheme - Blissey - 11-13-2014

I want it all to be pink and white! Yes! Go pink and white! Whoooooooooh! *Throngs of cheerleaders burst from the gaping maw of Hell in bright, cheerful, fulgent and annoying uniforms of pink that scathe the eyes of millions*

EDIT:
Ahem. Yes, on a serious note though, the blue and white isn't working. Not only does it not fit aesthetically with literally everything, it's a bit too bright, and this is coming from the chica who had her entire profile pink and white on the old forums for years. So, the old black and grey would be marvelous.

Re: Different Forum Colour Scheme - Neus - 11-13-2014

If someone wants to find PHPBB3 styles that fit the criteria they're talking about, they can, but beyond that the most I'm willing to do is adjust the color scheme or make the background not pure white. It took a lot of work to get the mods working the way I wanted, and if they aren't compatible with other styles, then I'm not going to use those styles.

EDIT: On another note, I made the signature image size for height limited to 250 pixels. Let's not have our signatures take up half of my vertical resolution if possible, please.

I don't particularly mind the layout, but if you could just make the colours back to the same black and dark greys we had before, that would be wonderful.

I second this.

As for different styles, I've looked through the lists on phpBB3's website and found a few that I personally think would fit Sigrogana Legend 2:

http://www.phpbb3styles.net/db/style/1Game - It's just a generally nice-looking black forum with a dash of blue to highlight the different topics. Looks like the old one save for a few nice lines of blue.

http://www.phpbb3styles.net/db/style/DarkFX - It looks a lot like the old one, except once again with a streak of blue. This one is a lot darker than 1Game though. Overall decent one.

http://www.phpbb3styles.net/db/style/ExtremeDark+Red - I'm going to admit it. I'm a sucker for black/red. It's a clearly boxed one compared to the last two with easy-to-read text and overall non-clashing colours. Very easy to tell threads apart.
