[Black Falcon] Story Recap 1 - Fern - 02-17-2021 (This is a narrative recapitulation of everything that's happened recently with Black Falcon until this point, so you can OOCly be fairly caught up with what's been happening!)
A Kysei warrior's true love had been brutally slaughtered by an underhanded Imperial soldier, shattering his heart to pieces.
Despite the company of his only family, his soul never knew peace after that fateful day...
An attempt at letting the heart rest was made, unexpectedly leading to the disappearance of his identity, allowing him to resurface as a vengeful beast.
It has become personal to him ever since that fateful day. And now, it has also turned personal for many other warriors...
ARAEL SCHLAGER, THE CRIMSON KING A highly famous criminal that once razed down Cellsvich. Recently launched a large-scale terrorist attack on several areas of the Sigrogana Empire with unclear intent, leading some of his enemies to believe that such assault was simply a set up for a greater ambition. Craves a revolution against the Sigrogana Emperor in order to take over his throne and gain acknowledgement for his kin, the Corrupted. Deep down, his flame of revolution was only set ablaze by his immense feeling of revenge for his deceased lover, Aurelia Flores... an ex-bandit that died at the hands of an imperial soldiers many years ago. He is determined to take as many lives as necessary in order to avenge her memory, continuing this show of bloodshed until his revenge is fulfilled.
An ex-member of the Chataran King's Gambit, having served under the current Chaturanga Guard Leader before he became a mind-scorched murderer with claws. Arael was revealed to hold a grudge against the empire before his enormous change, a burning hatred that managed to not only survive after experiencing a Dark Zone's horror, but also became much more fierce as he lost himself. Throughout the years, he had been somehow found and convinced to begin the long-term process of creating the Black Falcon. Most of the poor souls that attempted to leak out the information of its origin were mysteriously eliminated, excepting a small amount that managed to survive.
Recent findings pointed out that Arael has a brother named Cornelius. No one is certain they've seen him, and some believe him to be naught but a myth, but some information suggests that he might be puppeteering Arael from behind the curtains... and that the Falcon's purpose might not strictly just be taking over the empire.
CORNELIUS SCHLAGER
A mysterious existence whose purpose has yet to be truly confirmed by anyone. He is rumored to be the founder of Strega, a small-scale group that assisted in the creation of Black Falcon and now monitors its actions. Profound investigation has brought to light that Cornelius does likely exist, and that conquering the empire is part of a long-term plan to slaughter the remaining gods. Cornelius is supposedly the one that convinced Arael to start the Falcon, and killed most individuals that tried to leak information about the organization in its early stages.
His current face is an enigma to everyone, if he does exist. It is well-known that attempting to look into his identity has led to dangerous situations for quite a few.
VARON FELD, THE HERALD
An armored individual with a skull-shaped helmet, hailing from unknown origins. Previously spread posters in mockery of the Sigrogana Empire and kidnapped two members of First Squad. Recently seen in the Graveyard of Law's End with Eifrat and Arael Schlager in order to welcome guests that sought to see their leader. His future plans remain unknown to many... but what is fact is that he is highly dangerous.
CIVERD CADDEL, THE SCAVENGER
A Raven Wing of the Black Falcon that had been sighted within the Nameless Shrine, chasing after an "angel" that was said to be interfering with the organization's plans. Scavenger's real name was revealed to be Civerd Caddel, one of two Oracle siblings that served under a Zeran noble named Curtis Alden.
Shortly after the noble drove Civerd's sister Julia to taking her own life, he was said to reunite with a red-eyed man before completely disappearing and eventually becoming the high-ranked member known as Scavenger. He is part of the Black Falcon's founder group, Strega, which is rumored to be led by Cornelius Schlager...
An agile, cold and calculating magician that tends to avoid battles unless he is certain he will not be defeated.
SABRAC, THE DARK ADMIRAL
A Shaitan victim of magical experiments that have turned his right arm into a bloodthirsty horror. Once upon a time, he was the leader of a battle force lacking a specific nationality located within an obscure island before becoming a part of Strega. He is an extremely passionate brute that adores the thrill of war... a mortal foe.
Last seen in Loyrwell Tombs having a meeting with Scavenger and Forneus, before being interrupted by a group that was spying on their conversation. Now he is chasing after a certain target unknown to many, for one reason or another.
FORNEUS, THE SANGUINE MAESTRO
A harmony of voices make up the knowingly poetic Raven Wing called Forneus. First seen in a mansion that once belonged to Antirn Dumis, a man that was eventually found mysteriously lifeless and deformed. Ghost stories were quickly made out of his death, discouraging others from taking over the blatantly abandoned mansion.
A secret area within the general vicinity was being utilized as a small experimental facility by the Black Falcon, which was found by a group that then encountered Forneus and his (now monster) lover, Cora.
He appears in many areas of the world, and it has been recently proven that he is a member of Strega, the founders of the Black Falcon. Forneus alluded to the Strega emblem being an inversed, black Hallowed Cross.
CORA
An abomination with a perpetually shifting form that's hard to make out beyond the morbid smile present on its face. Her horrifying presence was first witnessed in an abandoned mansion used for experiment grounds. She is a mutant enhanced by the effects of a Dusk variant known as Zero, a highly potent breed that rapidly ruins the user in exchange for greatly increasing their Altermancy abilities.
She was last seen in the Nameless Shrine after attacking a Felidae known as Keira and was battled by many adventurers, eventually exhausted by their combined strength to the point she fled away from them and the arriving reinforcements.
Currently roaming imperial grounds in the darkness, seldom catching travelers off-guard with her monstrous nature. A woman that is no longer what she used to be - a vivid, joyful memory.
EIFRAT
Screams filled the forest surrounding Voilegarde, attracting an interested group that found an experiment of the Falcon labeled Magusbridal, whose real name was Mercuria. She attacked the valiant warriors and was defeated, then secretly assassinated with a deadly poison crafted by a Raven Wing known as Eifrat.
Eifrat was last seen in the Law's End Graveyard alongside Varon Feld and Arael Schlager, and has kept her plans hidden in the shadows while those that witnessed Mercuria's death plot to take her down. LEN MIYAGI, THE RED RIPPER
A high-ranking member of the Falcon. Previously known as an assassin with the title of Red Ripper, he was one of the leading attackers responsible for Cellsvich's previous destruction, and took First Squad Diego Gollwitzer's family captive once upon a time. He has been rumored to resurface with potentially new plans, and more than likely intent on settling the score with his Gollwitzer nemesis.
CASTIEL
A metaphorically angelic Heron that is said to have been travelling the world for years. She is highly opposed to the existence of Cornelius Schlager and has become aware that the Falcon may have more than meets the eye, occasionally attempting to guide brave souls that seek to defeat him. The Heron frequently avoids battle and shows melancholy at the bloodshed of war, but wishes for many lives to be saved.
Her reasons for her involvement have not been disclosed in profound detail to anyone just yet, causing people to distrust her while others genuinely find her to be a well-intentioned aide.
THE EXECUTIONERS
They are a powerful pack of Reaper experiments infected by Dusk Zero, a mutant breed of the black parasites that is empowered by fierce dark magic. The arcane enhancement combined with their natural Darksidian talent has proven to create a force that is quite capable. Dread may quickly spread across the area once one listens to the call of the executioner.
Spiritual guides taken by scientists of Strega... now turned into death incarnate.
VAREN ARYAN
A First Squad Imperial Guard that performed the call to arms and chose to spearhead the Empire Defense system in order to work together with adventurers against the dark wings. The Empire Defense has managed to catch the eyes of many combatants for differing reasons, and has proven capable of assisting against the terrorist force.
EIAEL AEYES
The origin behind the imperial organization meant to shield the Nameless Shrine from further Falcon activity. First Squad Eiael Aeyes has spread reassuring posters and ordered manpower to station themselves in the shrine's general area, causing Feathers of the Falcon to distance themselves from that area for the time being.
SEVEN
A Mechanation that encountered Scavenger in the Nameless Shrine with other adventurers and has participated in Empire Defense. After researching Scavenger's background and finding the truth behind the Black Falcon's existence, he has chosen to start investigation on other figures related to the massive organization. He is currently attempting to put together a plan to defeat the Strega Oracle with the help of his loved ones.
MIKI SETSUKO
A tailor and adventurer, didn't even know about Black Falcon before the event at the Nameless Shrine. However, she was there to witness the crime scene right after its occurrence and still suffers from the memories of the dead guards littered around. She had a failure of a fight against Scavenger in which he nearly broke her Mechanation assistant, Seven, and hurt her and many of her other friends. Afterwards, through Dusk infestations and having to kill infected people for their own good, she continues sparring and fighting to take Scavenger, and Black Falcon, down.
MANNY O'NIEL
Manny stumbled into an encounter with the Black Falcon at the Nameless Shrine and has been training to better himself ever since. He's got his eyes set on taking down the Black Falcon member known as "Scavenger" after being the first one to actually land a blow on him at the Nameless Shrine.
HECUBA
Because of the Black Falcon, a normally Forgetful Fire Mage has had the pain of destruction etched into their usually fragile memory. They know, however, that they cannot allow the Black Falcon to continue in their exploits - for maybe they'll make more permanent memories in the future, a future that they cannot allow to be ripped away.
AI NOTA
Ever since her first encounter with Scavenger - or the lack thereof, in her view - Ai Nota has been striving to find some way to make an effort towards taking down the Black Falcon. She's gone with taking down dusks and keeping her friends safe from them, as well as participating in the war and working with those more in the know. Although, deep down she's looking to stand up for - or maybe prove herself to - herself and her friends in some way, against Scavenger.
CERIN RACHAL
Spurred on by the surge in their activity, and enraged by the murder of Mercuria, a high profile defector from the group, Cerin Rachal, has emerged from the shadows again, beginning a personal hunt against his former comrades and their co-conspirators, starting with the one responsible for the murder of Mercuria.
SABLE CEROTA
Sable Cerota is hunting Eifrat first, but has a growing hatred towards Black Falcon, in part due to their actions, and also the countless spirits she's dealt with left behind by their slaughters, some of which have influenced her, even.
VIVIENNE DE ORLEANS
Her main objective is Eifrat's capture and interrogation, having secured cooperation of the Imperial Guard on it as well as covering her family's tracks and keeping them safe after being informed that her name has been passed around personally among the Falcon. Tense as ever about asking for the help of her allies, but will more than likely make the move and do so.
MAVIS HAEMIN
The High Priestess of Mercala, having caught wind of the most recent onslaught of Black Falcon terrorism on Sigrogana, made an expedited and decisive request to send in healer reinforcements directly from the Church. Successfully petitioning the Church to do so, she led various squads of highly-trained Mercalan Healers into the fray, keeping casualties low and fending off Dusks.
Furthermore, in an effort to restore morale, she led a restoration project to help revitalize the Peaceful Forest south of Cellsvich, a long-standing beacon of life and beauty for the continent.
TENYU
Seeing first hand of the social discord as well as the danger caused by the conflicts between the Sigrogana Empire and the Black Falcon, the young Oracle in red began throwing caution to the wind. Times are spent on recovery and endlessly trying to improve himself, hoping to provide a nudge of support should another conflict struck. No point in idleness while there is enough time to prepare for the approaching storm.
STRANGELOVE
Lieutenant Love was part of the group that entered Antirn Dumis' abandoned mansion and witnessed Forneus alongside Cora within the experimental facility. Shortly after the pair made their escape, the lieutenant was infected with Dusks and driven into a vengeful madness that led her to take a rampant approach against the monsters found in the area. Strangelove's heart burns with an anger-fueled vendetta against the Raven Wing and Zero experiment, deciding to capture... or kill both of them as soon as her blade is given the opportunity.
VELVET
A woman that has experienced the wrath of the Executioners first hand. She has become progressively more involved with the antics of the Black Falcon, having saved a Feather from the brink of death before the Falcon soldier met the Reaper's scythe. This henchman later deserted the terrorists and expressed his gratitude to the 'Diva of Despair', introducing himself as Brandon and occasionally providing information to Velvet with the assistance of a fellow traitor. Otherwise, he distances himself from the matter as much as possible, having managed to find romance and have a child.
After recovering from the Dusk infection and wounds gained from her group's visit to Antir Dumis' mansion, she made her investigations and became aware of Arael potentially being used as a puppet for an obscure goal. She plans on creating a full dossier on the terrorists, and may more than likely seek to try shooting the Falcon Leader's reputation with smearing tactics.
VICTOR ROMANOV
And so, the aimless piece of flotsam found the strength to grab on to something, and for the first time in his ill-begotten and worthless existence, decided to take a stand. A chance meeting in the shadows led to this dredge coming face to face with Arael Schlager, and it was in that moment of paralyzing fear that he found purpose.
Now that he's found a road to walk, he's determined to see it through to the end, whether he's ready or not. NALTON PENDEAGON
After a fateful encounter with Varon Feld in the Law's End Graveyard, a man that has never felt any strong desire or emotion has suddenly felt a spark flame in his heart. His soul disagrees with the ideals of Varon Feld and the Black Falcon, demanding him to oppose their ultimate objectives.
JOHN ETHERBOUND
Despite John's misleading appearance, he has done his best to assist against the Falcon terrorists and proves to be more threatening than he lets on. His presence is appreciated by most of the fellow combatants that oppose Schlager's reign... but not many know who John actually is other than what's publicly known.
MAKSIM, THE BETRAYER
A Shaitan with a rich history tied into the Falcon. In fulfilling his dearest friend's fondest wish, he earned the ire of the militaristic organization. Long has he bode his time, long has he been fighting losing battles; Even now, he licks his wounds and those of his allies after a grand failure. Despite this, fight has not left his eyes. Rearming himself at this very moment, with every fiber of his being, every moment of his thoughts is dedicated towards readying himself for a second confrontation.
The War Hawk is watching. He has waited long enough, and deigns to put an end to things, at last. MOTHER
The mother of all Dusks and Falcon's deadliest weapon. It is currently unknown where such monstrosity came from, only that she is rarely seen accompanied by the leader of the Falcon. Mother is often described as a vile, sadistic bug-like creature capable of having emotion and speech, possessing an incredible amount of power.
It is only a matter of time until Mother comes out to play.
???
A lone existence standing in the midst of vengeful warfare, living a life where they only try to protect the last thing they have left.
"Get ready for the next party!"
(There will be a major raid event in Voilegarde, February 26th at 5 PM EST. More details soon! Please look forward to it.)
