Missing Items in Korvara - Kameron8 - 07-11-2022
I'd like to compile a list of things that are (intentionally or otherwise) unavailable in Korvara, that are available in the original game. Please feel free to add anything else you know of.
Chimeric Masses: Eyes currently only drop at unreasonably low rates in chests, functionally making Weapon Potentials unobtainable. There is no Black Beast event, so masses are unavailable.
Recipe Cards: Some recipes were obtained by Asago quests or purchased from nonexistent vendors, like the Casino.
Medical Supplies: It's currently not possible to buy medical supplies, such as Gauze, to treat wounds.
Black Pearls: Diving helmets do not exist, and thus these cannot be obtained.
Various Ten Star Items: Not all mobs exist or can reach the max level, so some ten stars cannot be obtained in Korvara. Those that can be obtained can only be upgraded to UL 20, because of the missing stamp.
Laplace Reward Items: Some items were obtainable via quests in LaplaceNET, like Burst Claw.
Black Book Recipes: As there is no Black Beast event, these recipes cannot be acquired.
Dynamic Tomes: Seeds drop from enemies, but the tomes themselves are not sold anywhere.
Vendor Specific Equipment: Items sold by unique merchants (such as the Salamander Sword or Worg Pelt in Alstalsia, or Sayakana from the Casino) are unavailable.
Fishing Equipment Line: The items normally purchased for Sea Tokens cannot currently be obtained.
Quest Rewards: Some mainland quests gave equipment as a reward. Those quests are unavailable in Korvara.
Vorpal/Divine Catalysts: These enchants aren't sold anywhere.
Familiar Creation Scrolls: These aren't sold anywhere.

Kinda the opposite but I add it anyway.
Dark Shards are obtainable, but there is no use (As far as I know) for them.

Gonna add that we currently have no source of Stick of Butter nor Cheese Wedges.
These could be added to a merchant OR given crafting recipes, since we have Milk available (from portable kitchens, dunno if any NPCs sell it) that'd be the most logical thing to use for crafting it.
The lack of consistent butter is an issue since a good deal of Cooking recipes require Sticks of Butter.

Medical gauze can be made with tailoring.

Shoes of Swiftness
Combat boots
Kickboxing Shoes
Ogata's Waraji
Boots of Initiative
Holy Shoes
Green Soles
Jammer Waders
High Mage's Cape
Witch Hat
Scarf
Sylph Cloak
Red Cape
Grimalkin Hat
I'm sure there's more stuff, I'm unsure if I simply haven't encountered the singular recipe cards.

Sorry, I should've clarified a consistent source of butter. Relying on Old Campfires for butter outside random chest drops just sounds absurd when so much of it is needed in Cooking.
I'd argue against it even if you got a stick of butter every time you hit an Old Campfire. It makes way more sense to be able to make it yourself with ingredients that are far more readily available from vendors than have all the world's butter be scavenged out of chests and piles of wood.

Historian You - Dictionary of Defense, Pamphlet on Paladins
Edgar Abbygan - Carver's Catalog, Weapons of War
Fallon Numeyer - Catalogue of Critical Blades, Index of Artifacts 1
Nia the Librarian - Tome on Tomes 1, 2, 3
Latrishka Barnauv - Book of Blood Drinkers, Archive of Armor Breakers
Merrywell the Sage - Enumeration of Elemental Weapons, Subtext on Staves
Polyver the Mage - Omnibus of Ornamental Staves, Mage's Manifest on Gis
Notably there are two Tailoring recipe books missing, being Album of Adornments and Sheet of Shoes. Metalworking lacks Index of Artifacts 2 and 3.
Iunno if there are any other books missing, these are just the ones I could/couldn't find.
