[Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - FaeLenx - 07-21-2022 Make Cypelle a usable item that spawns a mob group of your current area's mob type on top of you that's at the max end of your possible EXP range. Which means a lot of currently locked content and problems grinding would be solved. Also make Cypelle tradeable. I want a nice, easy commodity to trade in that everyone universally would want/need. RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - adamkad1 - 07-21-2022 Well this is a nice idea but it sounds like catering to grinders too much RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - Collector - 07-21-2022 100% caters to grinders and an awful idea. This is how we get AFKs around Cypelle rocks who only come back online to snag more funny rocks. Very icky. RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - Snake - 07-21-2022 No good. RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - FaeLenx - 07-21-2022 The exact same thing could be said for every other suggested use for Cypelle. The major difference is that those require even sweatier amounts of grind for them. Making them used for legend ink has the same exact arguments against it. Perhaps even worse than this. This at least solves our missing items issue as well. Using Cypelle to gain a legend ink (for 150-200 roccs) isn't the same as having it SPAWN A MONSTER. Allowing someone to spawn a monster could lead to farm-rooms. Best case? Parties of four sit around a rock spawning mobs (4 spawns, remember) and do absolutely nothing outside of that room for potentially hours. That doesn't sound very immersive, or healthy for an always IC continent. Make people move and spend time to do things. RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - Lolzytripd - 07-22-2022 I would rather an upgrade option in the le book that increases the level of monsters encountered to 2 levels above character level per rank, 10ranks, so at max all fights would be vs 80s RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - FaeLenx - 07-22-2022 (07-22-2022, 02:50 AM)Collector Wrote:(07-21-2022, 08:16 PM)FaeLenx Wrote: The exact same thing could be said for every other suggested use for Cypelle. How does this solve the problem you stated where people would only come online to grab their rocks? If it's for legend inks then they're even LESS incentivized to do anything but collect those rocks. At least if it turns into spawn parties, that's 4 people getting together to do something. And having it 150-200 rocks for legend ink is just in favor of no-talk grindhouses even more since that's easily days of nothing but mob boss hunting just for a single legend ink when you could be no-life grinding the wastes to do it once every other day. I'm not sure what you're in favor of but it sounds like you're just in favor of wasting more time. RE: [Korvara] Another possible use of Cypelle - Autumn - 07-22-2022 Personally right now I like the lack of some items such as Fang Faced Shield or Thunderhooves, and bringing them into Korvara's circulation specifically may be a topic of balance more than anything else. Though obviously I wouldn't be throwing any fits for their inclusion either, it is something to consider. |
