Being able to like, use those special strikes as separate skills that you need to build up with basic attacks and twice as fast on critical strikes could also be neat.

I don't like how you can passively hit someone, but need to always buff up to dodge someone. Even monsters.

Yeah, give it a range similar to Quaking Tap then maybe it could count as a Song Skill too, for the purposes of activating "Singing" status.

Why not make it grant immunity to the first critical hit you take in a round? But if we're going that route proposed I'd say it should grant +10 Armor/10 Critical Evade.
