The 'grace period' is not meant to protect people from the consequences of their character's actions. It was set up as a way to give time to the GMs to finalize the Korvara conflict rules, and so people wouldn't have to worry about someone knifing their character immediately. As long as the jostling of roles and positions, etc, is done solely for IC reasons, then that was the whole point of Korvara to begin with - to have a fluid environment where RP leads to things being shaken up.

I'm not going to speak of everything mentioned in the thread, because I don't know a lot of the details, but just keep that in mind.
