SL2 Version 3.04

3.04
Event Tools
  • Narration;
  • UI now has a new window with a higher character limit.
  • 'Wrap' tab lets you specify beginning and ending text and/or styling included in your narration, which is useful if you always do your narrates in a certain style. (Start/End Wrap parameters are saved, even between reboots.)
  • Now also saved in player logs (as requested).
  • Status Adjuster; Now has options for custom presets that can make it easier to prepare and apply specific status effects/etc.
Profile Editor
  • Added a new browser-based UI to edit character profiles.
  • Increased the character limit to 5000 for both CSS settings.
  • The new UI makes it much easier and faster to customize your profile, with many adjustments (color, decoration changing, etc.) being much more responsive, and page edits offering greater clarity (text limits) and capable of quicker changes, etc.
  • Colors for each recolorable item can now be set to a 3 color matrix instead of a single color. (Mostly useful for advanced users, but many of the recolorable parts are greyscaled, so single color can still function just fine.)
  • TESTING SERVER: For testing purposes, the old controls are still available. To access the new interface, click the settings button and click 'New Page Edit'. When testing concludes, it will be accessed by clicking the edit button, and several obsolete buttons on the bottom will be removed.
  • You can now display items from your inventory in your profile pages using the following format:
  • (IT:Item's name), you can also add additional parameters before the ending parenthesis:
  • |t:Your Text Here (Replaces the item's name with this string, or nothing.)
  • |c:Your Class Here (By default, item images have the CSS class 'ui_item_img' and its text has 'ui_item_text'. If you specify additional classes this way, they will be added to those elements. This is useful if you want to style/size them differently.)
  • |f:Your Frame Here (For animated icons specifically, this lets you specify the frame used.)
    * You do not need to specify parameters you do not want to use.
    * An example using all of these options would be: (IT:Hisen|t:Cool Sword|c:ui_big_img|f:5)
    * LIMITATIONS:
    1) BYOND cannot display animated icons in maptext, so any items with animated regalias will not play the animation. Use |f: if you want to pick a specific frame.
    2) If you try to display the same unique item name multiple times on a page, subsequent instances will use the same parameters as the first. For example, having (IT:Hisen|t:Cool Sword) and later having (IT:Hisen|t:Super Cool Sword) on the same page will mean the latter will show 'Cool Sword' instead of 'Super Cool Sword'.
    3) The text displayed by |t: may not align with the item icon properly. Smaller icon sizes or larger text sizes can help, or you can use existing profile tricks to come up with your own solutions. (vertical-align will not work as BYOND maptext cannot apply individual element alignment within a single object currently.)
    4) Adjusting img width and height may not properly display until the map size changes, such as by messing with the map slider or minimizing/maximizing the window.
    * NOTES:
    1) Items that are displayed this way can be clicked to view the item. Its item properties will be treated as 'concealed' unless the 'show through concealment' option for the item is on.
    2) CSS for classes should be defined under Page CSS, not UI CSS. You will have to make your own definitions for '.ui_item_img', '.ui_item_text', and 'a' (AKA link text). Classes applying to the item image can use width and height parameters to specify its size, IE: .ui_item_img { width:24px;height:24px; }
  • Added some simple entities that you can put in a page, which show up as something else when someone views your page:
    * (CA), (CN); Character Alias and Character Name, respectively.
    * (HP), (FP); Current HP and FP.
    * (LV), (ET); Current level and total times you've legend extended.
    * (MC), (SC); Current main class and current sub class.
  • Added the following to add a link that will take you to a specific page/category when clicked:
    * (GO:Text to display|c:1|p:3)
  • Where c:X is the tab number and p:X is the page number.
    * NOTE: Page numbers should be the same as the page number it's on for you.
Chatbox / RP Post UI
  • CTRL + Space now opens up the RP Post UI.
  • Added shortcuts; F1 opens help, F2/F3/F4 cycles through the options for Type/Volume/Format respectively, Tab toggles the face icon selector.
  • Added a delimiter to center text by using :: (double colons). Example; ::This Is My Center Text::
  • Added a function to display items in the new chat; (IT:Item Name|t:Text To Display|f:Animation Frame)
    * Functions similarly to the option in profiles.
  • Added a function to display text from a book in your inventory; (BK:Item Name|pTongueage Number (1 by default)|s:X|e:Y), where X is the line break of the page to start from and e is the number of line breaks after that to end at. (If s isn't defined, it'll use the start of the page. If e isn't defined, it'll go until the end of the page from the start point.)
    * Text displayed this way will not include HTML/CSS. If there is a <b>, <i>, or <center> section, that will be preserved.
    * Book text displayed this way counts towards your normal message + line-break limit.
Crystal Terminals & Ancient Charges
  • Added Crystal Cartography V upgrade, which lets you craft upgrades for battlefield circles for Oskard-Sothis West, Black Mire, Land of Waterfalls, and Weald area battlefields.
  • Ancient Charges of statues you have visited are now always displayed in the 'Available' tab, allowing you to accept them from anywhere at a later time. (When interacting with a statue, however, only that statue's charges will be displayed, for the sake of clarity on what it offers.)
  • Ancient Charge statues will now only display the ! overhead icon if you haven't interacted with them (rather than if they have any missions you haven't completed/accepted).
  • While a party, memory shards which you have collected but another member has not will appear to you in a transparent form. (Allowing you to collect it for them if you're the party leader.)
Sandbox Objects
  • Bookshelves can now be moused over to see how many books are stored in it.
  • Bookshelves can now be set to 'sell mode' by the placer. In this mode, rather than reading books, characters who interact with it can buy duplicates of the book. (Copies must be stocked using 5 paper material items per each.) In addition to using this to sell copies of your written items to others, you can buy them yourself to easily create copies of the book in its entirety.
  • Feast Tables without food, or non-donation food which hasn't been interacted with for more than 240 in-game hours, now take damage on new hour (so that they are eventually destroyed).
Lantern Bearer
  • Status duration is no longer affected by scaling based on distance.
Youkai
  • FP cost of skills with +0.4 FP per level adjusted to +0.2 FP per level. (Excluding Underworld Drain, Cat's Claw and Lord's Flame.)
Cooking
  • Added 8 new craftable burger and burger-like items. (Icons courtesy of DBKaw)
ETC
  • Narration in personal logs now displays as 'Narrate' instead of 'Say'.
  • Gatherable materials, when rolling multiple item drops successfully, now prefer to give you an item of the highest rarity instead one of them randomly.
  • Wearing a helmet will now protect you from getting a bumped head while mining.
  • Added 'Item Type' to the Sort menu, which will organize the item list based on the item's type, and alphabetically with other members of its type.
  • Delayed skills will now activate at the start of the user's turn instead of at the start of a new round.
Monsters
  • Added a chance for Stone Eaters, Amethyst Golems and Emerald Golems to drop Boulders.
- Various forum bug fixes.
