Destined for greatness? [2.54b]
#1
A thank you to Senna for bringing this to my attention for further testing, and Lumi for helping me test it.

A relatively rarely used detail is that while using Destiny, Spellthief gets all of their copy spells at max rank. However, it seems that it doesn't actually apply to some spells. In particular, any spell that belongs to a base class instead stays at rank 1.

It was tested with Explosion, Holy Arrow, Sear and Fire Whip. The equipment used was simply a tome of the appropriate element and a wisp cloak, and it was tested against a Prinny to avoid any external factors changing it. After doing calculations with the damage, Explosion and Holy Arrow seemed to both count as rank 1, while Sear and Fire Whip both counted as rank 5.

Strangely, Famiuga appears to be an exception to the rule, providing rank 5's damage regardless, but otherwise, it seems like every other base class spell doesn't get powered up when using Destiny for one reason or another.
