Note we'd still be limited to four classes- as of right now, it's our base classes with the promo classes we chose. So if someone chose Ghost but not Duelist, they wouldn't get access to Fleur... Another idea: how would it affect the balance if every negative status effect gave the user a chance of ...

In six months people will be asking to lower the EXP requirements again if this goes through, seeing as it's been lowered at least four times already (if I remember correctly). In any case, I'm all for it, seeing the context of the situation at hand.

Oh, sorry, I mean like the party leader chooses one layout from a set of four or five or so, one of the ones being the one posted in the original post, and one being the current one. Of course if this isn't possible, I think the layout in the original post is the best as a default.

While I like the new battle positions, I also think it would be neat to choose which of the two (current and this layout) your side of the battlefield/team would prefer.

How about a chance to go into the enemy's weapon path ((scaled DEF%+ scaled CEL%)/2) instead of 100% chance that soldier protect gives?
