In all seriousness, though I don't think capping any invocation is a good idea. At all.

Overload's a bit different because of its effect. 5 extra damage for each modded stat can get really ridiculous.

Initially Overload was +2 per Stat which was too weak at the time. Now that it is +5 per Stat, it's too strong.

My simple solution? Bump it down to +3 per Stat.
