I'll see which option it's using and try changing it, and hiding the overlay hasn't had any noticable effect for me. Though I'll take a second look.

Checked, and I don't have any integrated graphics according to my driver list and NVIDIA settings. I did change an option to prefer performance over power though, and didn't see any noticeable change. I also made a new character to compare the performance with and without the utility bar, and they were more similar than I remembered, with the same sort of oscillation of the screen.

Hiding the HUD with DEL and the hide HUD preference doesn't increase performance, nor does it get rid of the utility bar either.
