General Rules
- Be respectful towards your fellow players and GMs.
- Do not abuse or harrass others. If you have a disagreement with someone, avoid escalating it. If someone is breaking the rules, first ask them to stop, and if they refuse, bring it to a GM's attention and let them handle it.
- Do not abuse bugs.
- If you find a bug, report it on the forums. If the bug is of serious nature and should not be publicized (an item duplication glitch, for example), then please contact a GM or privately message Neus on the forum with details.
- Bug abuse will likely result in harsh punishment. Please report the bug instead; you are less likely to receive a harsh sentence if you admit to fault and do so of your own choice.
- Do not spam or advertise.
- Do not advertise other games, please. Discussing them is fine, but attempting to get other people to play them is not.
- Obviously, do not spam the channels with copy/pasted messages or other things of little substance.
- Do not account share.
- Your keys and characters should only be used by you, the owner. Sharing your access details with another player and allowing them on your accounts is not allowed on SL2. You should also not do it in general, due to the security risks it opens you up to outside of the game.
- If you choose to disregard this rule, and another player with access to your account gets you banned, deletes your characters, etc., you will not receive support.
- Furthermore, if someone else is found logging into your account to grind your characters, etc., your account may be banned or your characters deleted.
Harassment
- Targeted, repetitive unwanted behavior with the goal of intimidating, humiliating, ostracizing, or making the victim uncomfortable is strictly prohibited.
- Any content or activity perpetrated in this way will result in a ban.
- The GMs take harassment cases very seriously and will conduct a thorough investigation into each case.
- Insults and verbal attacks outside of In-Character roleplay are not allowed.
- Do not attempt to create discord or serious arguments amongst community members.
- The old adage 'if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all' applies here.
- 'Ribbing' among friends is fine, just don't take it too far.
- Retaliation against someone who has reported you for harassment is the same as harassment.
- This also applies for third parties doing it at the behest, or in the interest of, the aggressor.
