Game Moderator (GMs)
GMs are here to help ensure the game environment remains positive and the rules are followed. A GM's rulings and instructions should be obeyed by the players. If a player has any issues with another player, they should contact a GM privately for assistance. GMs can punish offending players, including by banning them temporarily or permanently, based on the severity of the offense.
Additionally, GMs are responsible for approving or denying applications posted in the applications forum.
Please cooperate with GMs. Attempting to intentionally annoy or deceive one will likely not end well. If you feel a GM has incorrectly punished you, please contact another GM and state your case. You may also contact Dev privately on the forum if you believe a GM has overstepped their boundaries, etc.
You may also appeal your ban on the Unban Requests forum.
Transparency
It is important that players feel as if they trust the GMs, and for that reason we attempt to be as transparent as possible. Despite this, please note the following;
- In cases where there is worry for retaliation by a reporting party, such as harassment, we will not share evidence we have collected. This includes chat logs, screenshots, and so on.
- Obviously, this is to protect victims of this rule breaking behavior. Evidence is still shared with all members of the GM team for review before action is taken.
- We do not feel that every punitive action is something that needs to be explained and agreed to by everyone.
- We will still do our best to address community concerns when they are spoken if we can do so without putting others at risk.
Contacting GMs
There are two ways you can contact GMs.
- In the Sigrogana Legend 2 Discord, send a direct message to ModMail Bot#2778 with all of the details of what you need or are trying to report. You can send multiple messages, but the bot will only reply once (this is normal). You can find this a helpful link to this specific bot pinned in the #gm-help channel! It's also in the user list near the top on both servers.
- Find a GM on the list of the Sigrogana Legend 2 Discord or the Korvara Discord and send them a direct message.
Because a GM may not be available to immediately respond to you, it is preferred to contact ModMail first, as the messages it receives are displayed to and pings all GMs.

Event Staff
Event Staff exist to create unique roleplaying events for the players, as well as help players who wish to run their own events. They have a variety of useful tools with which they can do so. They can be seen similarly to Dungeon Masters (DMs) in this respect.
Event Staff hold no additional authority on rules enforcement compared to a normal player, but are expected to be well-behaved. They work within the rules of the players; they cannot approve applications, do anything unsupported by the existing lore, and so on. That said, when an Event Staff is running an event, players are expected to respect their wishes, similar to if they were a GM; if they ask you to leave an event, you must leave. If they ask you to stop being disruptive, you must stop, and so on.
Feedback for events has its own dedicated channel in the Sigrogana Legend 2 Discord. Please deposit your constructive criticism there so that the event staff may continue to improve. If you have concerns of the behavior of a specific Event Staff member, please privately message a GM with relevant logs/screenshots and what your complaint is.
Event Staff may be contacted privately on Discord or the forums for assistance with events or other big-scope projects.
Developer
While the developer, Devourer of Souls AKA Neus, is the ultimate authority on rules, etc., they do not generally participate in the moderation of the game. Please refrain from contacting them regarding moderation issues that are better handled by a GM, unless there are no GMs available and the matter is urgent (for example, someone spamming OOC).
There are a number of things you may contact them about, however:
- Serious concerns regarding GM behavior.
- Serious concerns regarding Event Staff behavior that have not been dealt with satisfactorily by a GM.
- Game-breaking bugs, such as crashes or item duplication, etc.
- Donation or Patreon related issues (please use #gm-help).
- Savefile corruption or other data-loss issues (please use #gm-help).
- Other things that are very important to the health of the game.
Dev is very busy most of the time. They may not respond to you immediately. They also prefer not to be bothered in direct messages on Discord for casual chat, or to receive suggestions/bug reports (these have their own appropriate forums).
Modmail
We get a lot of messages to modmail per day about varying subjects, some important, some that are answered or should be elsewhere, etc. In an effort to help our organization, keep topics from going unnoticed due to volume, and so on, here are some updated guidelines for what to use modmail for.
Things You Should Message ModMail About:
- Character name changes. Send the current name of your character, the key and slot of that character, and the new name you want. You do not need to be online to have your name changed.
- Ban appeals.
- Issues regarding game rules or RP rules, such as players breaking them, or issues/arguments you are having/witnessing that require GM oversight or intervention.
Things You Should Do Elsewhere:
- Lore Questions; please ask these in the #lore-questions channel on the main Discord server. Or, if the question is minor, you may ask a GM directly.
- Character Applications; please post these on the forums.
- Critical Bugs; if related to server stability, security, such as crashes or item duplication, etc. Please send a DM directly to Dev - DO NOT DISCUSS THESE IN PUBLIC CHANNELS OR WITH NON-GMs.
- Event Requests; Talk to an eventmin in the #event-request channel, or in a DM.
