'Unaybis Province (Anubite Clan)
#11
Amongst the throng of market stalls, a young lupine found herself sauntering about, her gaze happening upon the various goods and people surrounding her. She appeared to be quite relaxed in the scene as she carelessly weaved through the crowds and small structures, continuing her exploration--despite the clear lack of a definite destination.

Azizi wouldn't recognize any in the crowds--or even attempt to do so, this being her first visit in years; this being the case, her attention would be focused not on the people, but the city as a whole. Though, the lack of familiar characters in the crowds wasn't surprising. Her closer relatives had been scattered about for quite some time now, the majority no longer frequented their clan's many territories. She'd ponder upon this, expression becoming one of nostalgia as a children's stall came into view.

Having approached the aged stall, she'd begin examining its wares with mild interesting--soon enough, a stuffed canine doll caught her attention, her slender fingers encasing the limp figure, irises flicking upwards and downwards as she began examining its lifeless form. The course of actions caused her lips to upturn into a slight smile, and she shook her head while removing a couple of coins from her pocket and purchased the doll. Briefly, the young woman would bow her head to the stall's owner, before resuming her exploration of the bustling city.

Wandering and weaving between gaggles of preoccupied customers proved to more difficult than anticipated. Who knew sweltering desert heats like these could draw out massive crowds? Perhaps there was a severe lack of anything to do while struck in heated, clay-composed homes. Merchants here and there sold wares not found anywhere else, and antiques lined many, wooden shelves, ready for purchase. Rugs and tapestry of ornate design would be showcased to public eyes in particular shops. Some stalls looked more rustic, worn-down even, than others; a good portion of stores bore facades of polished doors and glass windows. No matter what, every inch of this marketplace was packed, patrons spilling out into the streets.

Someone stood out from among this mass. They continued their treacherous trek towards one, large hall carved from giant pieces of sandstone. Towering statues of significant deities outlines such a building, the most prominent architectural piece of work being an artist's rendition of Anubuna. A sight not too foreign, given its constant appearances of emblems, wax seals, and otherwise. Pointed, sharp ears of lupine nature were shaped to stand at attention, while its eyes seemed ever-vigilant.

White robes flowed behind this somebody while traveling closer to their destination. At this time, one, slight nudge may have been given to an unsuspecting Anubite enjoying her time there. That was disrespectful. Plenty of individuals might have doubled over forwards to apologize to those belonging to the lineage. Not this person, apparently. Footsteps continued to carry them forward.

The magnificent hall of sandstone and statues would come into the sights of not only the prominent figure, who'd found themself meandering towards its grandoise, but also a young lupinian woman with hair of white. This feature caused the woman to appear somewhat out of place, amongst her kin of black and brown locks. Though, despite the fact, this particular lupine continued to carry herself with easily found pride and confidence.

With her pride and adulthood came not shame in immature items and hobbies, this being made clear as her strides became more akin to skips, and her expression transitioned into one more-so of excitement and nostalgia than one of placid seriousness. The woman's tail flicked back and forth rythmically, in-time with her ever-moving feet as they found themselves carrying her up the first few steps(?) of the hall in-which she'd been approaching, and eventually to the opening that served as in entrance. A glance would be cast about the surrounding area, a deep inhale of the city's mixed scents being taken in before she finally entered the hall, wandering about in attempts to find some form of a familiar figure.

Though the lupine's plan was to seek out such a figure, the sort of which having been previously mentioned, she'd take her time in exploring its vast interal decorum and various furnishings, of which could be considered unique to only the areas claimed by the very clan that she lived under. The sight brought a brief, child-like smile upon her features, being an unfamiliar one after her extended period in the more western-ized areas. An airy sigh escaped the woman as she gave a final glance, before finally taking on a more adult-like air, as her newly-bought doll while moving onwards to the inards of the hall.

Contrary to what surroundings engulfed the lupine woman beforehand, these towering, ancient halls she entered lacked vibrancy and a large population; in fact, only a few souls shrouded in pale cloth shambled about. Something about this atmosphere radiated solemn, even empty tones, despite those going on with their daily tasks. Sandstone tiling seemed to be the main flooring type while dusty, reed rugs lined a path towards another foyer. Scrolls of various quantities littered some corners, tables, and possibly a bookshelf or two. If it weren't evident from visual cues, the visitor seemed to have stumbled upon a temple, and a significant one at that.

Robes lighter than most others could be seen from afar. Pure white in saturation, they fluttered behind someone probably fresh in the mind of the white-maned female: that same individual who accidentally bumped into her at the market. It had to be them! Hurried footsteps echoed from this person as they descended stairs into an unexplored area.

Finding nothing too interesting within the path that she'd chosen to follow, the young woman glanced about--until, after a beat had passed, she recognized the vague patter of foot steps, appearing to be traveling in her general direction. Slowing her pace, the lupine found herself glancing back every few moments, as if waiting for the unidentified figure to catch up. It would appear obvious that she anticipated some form of communication between herself and the person, whoever they might be; that was, until she spotted the familiar sight of flowing white robes, in-which she'd cease any further progression and face their direction.

A set of toned forearms folded over the anticipant Anubite's chest, before a full-blown grin formed upon her features. She appeared to hold in mind no memory of her bumping into of the figure, it having been too brief and, due to her time in the west, familiar mannerism to be impressionable at this point. The only thought on her mind would be that of a familiar face, -and-, hopefully, an occupation of her time.

Their head was held down until a sandal dropped to the last step. Tan features remained obscure as several moments passed, and during their transition from one point to another. Golden eyes fixated themselves to papers clasped within one hand with bundles of scrolls packed under an arm. They failed to notice the other's presence, which nearly costed them their balance seconds later. Feet helped in skidding to an abrupt halt to prevent colliding with the waiting lupine.

A tattered hood dropping to broad shoulders allowed for a clear view of this wanderer's visage. Masculine jawline coated by scruff, this obvious male may have stood a few inches taller than her; lupine ears of a dark color added to his height. Fragile-looking glasses sat on the bridge of the man's nose. The startle nearly sent him back peddling, yet he found his resolve quickly after. “Excuse me, I'm in a hurry--” He stopped mid-swerve to catch sight of someone very familiar. Or, at least, she should be. “You're an Anubite?”
