When mousing over Darkness tiles, you don't get a little text overlay in the bottom left area of the HUD that tells you the LV and the remaining duration.

If you did, you wouldn't be able to click anything under them. I am aware of this being an issue at times and will likely implement a solution soonish™, but this is intended for now.
