Clicking on skills to view their information in battle may often cause the chat to be completely wiped.
A specific note I will bring up is that this *may* be a BYOND thing, given that this is one of the biggest bugs that I often ran into whenever I played the previous SL2 version while using the new BYOND version.
I also hear that this may cause crashes? I am uncertain about this one given it did not occur to me just yet, but I feel it worth bringing up regardless.

While I'm uncertain if this is the ONLY way to recreate this, one of the more consistent methods of recreating this is by previewing your chat background (Set BG), then clicking on a skill.
The end result causes the chat to be completely wiped and for any settings (such as scaling) to be reset to their default despite the actual settings menu stating otherwise.
I repeat: I do not believe this is the only way to recreate this bug, since I believe I've encountered it a few times without ever touching the Set BG menu.
In those specific cases, I am uncertain what specifically causes it.
I will continue to relay any other means I discover

I'm not sure the exact way it reproduced; but I did have the same happen to me the other day when I was out grinding with friends cause I had accidently clicked on a skill name (the yellow name when it shows up during a fight) and while it opened the box to show the skill itself, it completely reset my chat as if I had just relogged into the game on that.
Did test it a second and third time just to see during that time and it consistently wiped the chat and brought it back to what you'd see on launching sl2 typically on that.

the only time i've encountered this (so far) has been in brittus' bandit event, which had both custom skill names and inline music players, as events tend to.
can't think of anything else out of the ordinary and there's no guarantee or strict indication those two things caused it.
