If you target a Rune with any line normal basic attack (I.E Firethrower, Anchor Edge) it won't cause any damage to it.

That will probably count for all weapons that have a special AoE targeting, like caterblanche, Jackhammer...Is there even more that the ones mentioned :thonk:
I guess its just because they all do not actually target something, similiar to how ghost works?

Has anyone actually tested with something besides Firthrower and Anchor Edge? I'd be interested to know if this is also the case with Jackhammer and Guillotine.
These weapons only target mobs, not field objects. They don't have a 'single target' square, you see. Though 'hoh shit' if Jackhammer gets the ability to wipe field objects. Rune Magicians would be unplayable.
Also additionally, and with my apologies, yeah. They don't do that.
