Galdr Races - That being, Theno, Doriads, and Herons - really have nothing really that benefits bards beyond their potential for higher sound atks. Hell, their song skills cancel out Singing. There's no real difference playing a Bard class as a Galdr race compared to other races; which makes no sense given how Theno and Herons are described as being beautiful singers and Doriad's galdr being capable of literally creating life.
I think that the Galdr races should have something beyond their base SAN/level-based sound atk to fit in with this musical theming. As such...
1. An added stipulation to the song-based racial skills of the Galdr races which makes them not cancel out singing when used, similar to the buffs dances received a few updates ago, and makes them not nuke a dancer's tempo from orbit.
2. A new, unlockable trait for the Galdr races.

Quote:Wide Vocal RangeThe SWA stipulation is mainly so that, while someone could run Dark Bard for thematics or run Warmonger's Drum for the buffs to allies, it would still always be more effective to simply use an instrument weapon if you wanted to go for raw damage, so that we don't have Dark Bards running around spamming high-damage AoEs while also being martial powerhouses or giving out heals like it's candy.
Required: Theno, Doriad, or Heron.
Your attunement with the forces of Galdr gives you a vocal range that other singers envy, your songs just as much works of magic as they are works of art. You can now use Song class skills without having any instrument equipped. If the song skill would do damage, SWA is equal to your Level + 20.
