Was this tested in 1.57 or 1.57b? Because 1.57b causes the shades to disappear if the owner takes damage.

I think this was actually addressed with update b, but when you view the real person, you get this: where the forecast is mirrored over (poorly).
Another picture: ...It also seems that something happened when I attacked the clones which also caused the real person to 'vanish'... but he's still there. --------------------- Replicated with Player Debug on both. Code: Debug: Adding to party: Shade Widespin with 3 of the clones Verifying that the far one is the real person Player Debug is normal (with smaller damage as it's a sword, not the axe) Attacking the real person Hit - Clones die, real person back and not spectre (did not strike clones, works as intended.) Another attempt, real person is the south one obviously Attack- Missing real person causes this Their spectre form vanishes, but they're still there and become 'real' at the beginning of their turn. This is before the attack This bit is attacking the invisible person Code: Debug: attack_pow: str increases Power to 58 Conclusion: Attacking and missing the real person causes the spectre to vanish until the beginning of the turn where the real person's form resets. .... EDIT: Okay I see what you did now. The spectre is pasted over the player instead of the player changing forms. This leads to this: Code: OOC Joey attacks Quinn with Francisca [Axe] and misses them! Where I struck the clone that is the real player, but missed the real player altogether. Causing that player to be invisible.

Does attacking someone shaded cause two attacks by chance? Once on a spectre and once on them? Not sure what's going on...

It's showing the attack forecast upon the shaded person as well as the non-shaded person. Forcing the overlays to stack upon one another and create a horrendously buggy forecast that makes anyone with a large enough attack radius go "Oh yeah, that's the real person."
The 'real' person does go completely invisible though, I've actually bashed the real person out of it to have them completely invisible. It's just.. kinda weird over all.

I'll just make 'shaded' combatants not show the attack forecast to keep this simple.

Sorry to bump this again. It's still doing one part of the bug.
Namely it seems you can place the shades on top of you and cause the shade to overlap...so you can effectively hit 2 shades and miss the real person. This is also effective even when you don't place a shade on top of you, where you can hit the shade, but miss the player as opposed to hitting the player entirely. This image was a side cut through the shades placed in the above picture. Hitting the shade placed there, the shade that Quinn was replaced with, and missing the invisible Quinn. |
