Not even sure how to title this one. If you increase your aptitude, every 5th point gives you +1 to all stats. Graphically on the stat spread screen, however, backtracking aptitude will not show the stat decrease it will incur until you reach the previous stat shift point in aptitude.
Example makes this much clearer:
I have 10 in all stats, and 21 aptitude. I raise my aptitude to 25 without confirming, and all of my other stats are shown as 11. I reduce my aptitude as much as I want, so long as it never hits 20 or lower, and my other stats remain 11. When I confirm this, stats instantly correct and actually become 10. If stat distribution is going to be more permanent and less forgiving in the future, I just assumed it'd be nice to squash these weird inconsistencies early.
