You're going to still get poisoned by someone even if they have their infliction halved. You still need FAI or SAN investment to just resist these inflictions in first place. Or play races immune to said inflictions of certain type.

warding enchant got buffed so hopefully it might be a consideration.

Did you read what the thread was about? People running hexer as a sub for a martial weapon without spelledge are usually not building WIL so their infliction rate only hovers around 120-130, halving that makes it 60-65. The average player will have at least 10% status resistance from aptitude alone turning these into a 50-55% chance.

As a side note, halving as a penalty for anything would make it possible to resist these inflictions without stat investment until the inflictor has over 200.
