I'm not sure but I'd like to see Cooking Chocolate sold by merchants, you can add other ingredients that can only be found in chests as well to be fair, but I'm not sure about which ones they could be but I am having issues making everything on the cooking list without the chocolate. I'd rather you add the chocolate first to a merchant.

Imo, cooking ingredients should just be sold by merchants. It makes no sense to craft a crafting ingredient, it should be sold by innkeeps along with meatwraps, spices, uncooked noodles, or any other cooking ingredient.
