You can't actually smash or destroy any field objects with the grand smasher. (Hidden note: 100% Ice attack is not the strongest for a 3m move if thats what it takes to smash something pls buff)

Steps to reproduce: Try to attack a field object with the Grand Smasher.

You have to attack a field object that can be attacked. Not all of them qualify.
