Raijinken + Sharenzan combo used to be fine because the big damage it dealt was situational, since you had to be in one range to pull off the 1.5x damage.
However it's very very easy to go airborne now (see: Leaping Lizard / Burn Up / Crane Hop) and its large damage is not really situational anymore. You can easily set up for it.
Not only that but Raijnken + Sharenzan gets benefits from Combination Strike and unleashes this sort of damage VS a 56 DEF character:
Purple Suited Gentleman takes 262 Slash damage.
I suggest making it so Combination Strike only affects MA classes as a minimum nerf.

I will agree with the suggestions above
but also suggest that Sharenzan should either be 1.25x damage, or multiply it's damage AFTER defenses, as it stands, its an autohit that punctures through tanks, leaving it with barely any counter play if the player has any idea what they are doing.

I agree with everything too, dev pls!
Tho' I'm staring at how said combo practically ignores defense and can hit a tanky BK/Matador tank for over 100 per turn.
Duelists already have Power Gradation to get a piece out of those Defense-stacking tanks/Matadors and in my opinion, a basic hit hitting for magic damage is already enough, so no need to rest the multiplier /before/ defenses, as Spo said.

Just as an FYI on that damage since it was done against me.
She was in a sanctuary ontop of my defense. Meaning she was losing 10 STR.
Admittedly, she did use Absolute Pace for a Wazabane > Crane Hop > SHARENZAN spectacle of devastation... There may have been an Absolute death in there, but I don't remember anymore.
Also; it was 56 DEF, 12 Def Armor, 10% Slash resistance, and 10% Guard

Uhm on you I did Absolute Death+Absolute pace+Sacred art+Combination fighter+Crane hop+airborne shernzan on 65 Strength Character + 31power katana(so Yeah with Wazabane and stuff)
In my opinion unrealistic scenario in a real fight since it´s hard to get the Absolute pace boost if your enemy knows what you are planning and you use literally all your skill points for this set up.
Non the less...I agree, it´s a little to much stacking there (mind you this thing can get easily doubled in damage with Hexer Deathknighting) even without Absolute pace the damage can get up to 150 on a tank.
I would say Spos idea is better, to actually nerf this Wreckrenzan itself, than this 15% from a mainclass only Skill. Or make Shrenzans damage multi 1.25 if you have used another Kensei skill before and 1.5 if it´s the first kensei Skill.
(Fun fact, Sdreg still was able to easily Graft counter my damage and Judgementblade me to a stand hold cause I had 30% slash resist and 10% damage reduction from the MA main only skill+25% damage reduction from Meditate. I didn´t use Abulute death/pace at that point thou,cause that above combo is just cheap. )

Also. Let's look at your damage just flat out.
65 STR + 31 (+5 from talent) + 15 (max Rank Skill) = 116
This, in and of itself is pretty normal!
So, factoring in the damage of your Raijenken before (assuming you spent the turn before moving up and Absolute Deathing)
We get about.. (41+36+15)*1.25=115 damage. Then we factor in Defense, lets assume mine of 56+12... So first, 115 becomes 103 because 10% Slash resist
So Raijenken on me deals about 35 damage when Absolute Death'd (depending on where Absolute Death applies. If it applies AFTER then its much lower at 18 damage, which is eh.)
Now! A rather lackluster first strike! What does it's second hit with Sharenzan do though?
Well first off, you're airborne, so you get knocked back 3-4 tiles, Knocked Down, and take 1.5x damage before Defense.
So. 116*1.5=174. Then we add in Combination Fighter, 1.15.
174*1.15=200.1 Eesh, this is already looking painful.. Then we apply Absolute Death. 250 Damage.
OKAY SO.
Slash Resist, 225-56-12=157. Thats how much it does if Absolute Death is applied (140 damage if it applies after all is said and done)
This is a kind of absurd amount of damage to do against a tank for.. well. No real set up. It can get even worse with Absolute Pace, and honestly? If you can't land a Raijenken, a Wazabane > Crane Hop > Sharenzan works just as well.
Actual tests with the exact same stats, by the by... No Absolute death.
Purple Suited Gentleman takes 16 Slash damage.
Masked Dancer's turn.
Purple Suited Gentleman takes 118 Slash damage.
Masked Dancer's turn.
Purple Suited Gentleman's turn.
Purple Suited Gentleman gets back up!

Which still is only an effective 39 damage the round if you graft for 118 HP +3 M damage every second round assuming you have on guard. and you had around 260 FP while you locked me on 0xD

Anyway. Just wanted that things like Doomwall Dullhans and Graft judgement tanks are also considered, since Sheranzan is broken, but those things too and at the moment you can almost not counter that shit as a melee beside the equally broken madchop.

I was wondering how that damage could be obtained; some folks love to leave out that crucial detail. Nonetheless, this sounds like an issue with Sharenzan and not Combination Strike, so let's focus on that instead of nerfing the smallest boost of the bunch.
That being said, this is mostly a case of min-maxing. I'd rather see if non-focused characters can make trouble out of Sharenzan first before nerfing it into the ground.
