So I don't really have a screenshot of this but Cobra negated my Sharenzan from the right side of someone while they weren't facing me. Literally dodged the whole attack.

Cobra can intercept from the sides sometimes. Would be safer if you used your skill from behind.

It still shouldn't do that. Cobra is supposed to only work if they're facing you eye to eye.

It works based on line of sight; this can mean the sides. A lot of skills that say 'must be facing' function this way and it should have consistent results. In melee the line of sight will probably include tiles directly to the left or right, but not ones further away.
